WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) is available on all Windows systems. You can use WMI to locally or remotely query information about a computer and change settings.
WMI Classes are organized into namespaces. To use WMI, you will need to know the exact name of the WMI Class you would like to query. Common WMI Classes are found in the namespace section “root/CIMV2”, but there are many other namespace locations with additional WMI classes.
